On Sunday, we headed down to Amberg, to check out their Christmas Market. Actually, the whole reason we headed down to Amberg, was to check out the Krampus show with Oberpfälzer Schlossteufeln e.V.
If you're not familiar with Krampus, it's a big deal here in Germany, and recently it's becoming more and more famous in the states. I think it has more to do with the new Krampus movie that was just released. Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure who, during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts. It needs to be a thing with all the spoiled children now days!
It was such an amazing show. I'm really glad we headed down there instead of checking out the Krampus run in Munich. We even got to take pictures with them after words! (You have to be quick though, they only have 15 minutes then they disappear!)
We headed down to the show with my friend Paige, she took some amazing shots during the show, while we took video, and then she edited the video and said I could share her amazing pics.
The show didn't start until 5:30 pm, but we arrived at 4:45 pm and got some prime spots up front. Just some friendly advice, be mindful of the people around you. As you'll see in the video, it was really crowded, everyone was pushing up against each other, if you're in the front, your kids need to stand up, just like all the other little kids standing and waiting for the show.

If you ever get the chance to see this company perform, I cannot stress enough how awesome it was and how I'm super glad we got the chance to check them out.
